Meet the Designer
Hello,
I’m Gyula Takács (b. 1990), a Hungarian architect and designer living and working in Helsinki since 2016. Inspired by the city’s serene landscapes and rich design culture, my creative journey is deeply rooted in innovation, sustainable design, and a strong connection with nature.
My motto, “sculpting the essence of change,” is the foundation for all my creations — whether sculptures, fine art prints, paintings, or photographs. This philosophy guides my minimalist approach, where every detail matters and each composition reflects a moment of quiet transformation. I believe in the power of simplicity to evoke emotion and tell profound stories. My work emphasizes harmony in asymmetry and the importance of negative space, capturing a sense of balance and stillness in every piece.
Inspiration
My work is inspired by the serene Finnish landscapes and the vibrant, innovative spirit of Helsinki. Through art, I seek to capture the beauty of change, both its subtle shifts and dramatic transformations. Each piece reflects the ongoing dialogue between nature, time, and human experience. By embracing the unpredictability of change, I aim to preserve those fleeting moments where transformation comes to life.
LIMITED EDITION ARTWORKS
Interwoven Rhythms
Layers of black and white paper are arranged to form a rhythmic, monochromatic grid. The mirrored inserts catch and scatter light, guiding the viewer’s gaze to different points within the composition. This interplay transforms the seemingly static grid into something dynamic: alive with shifting light and perspective, revealing new details with every glance.
RELIEFS WITH 24K GOLD
Mother-of-Pearl
Upcycling is emerging as a critical component of the circular economy. The mother-of-pearl in this collection is upcycled, reclaimed rather than newly harvested. In a time when material consumption accelerates, working with what already exists becomes an intentional act, affirming continuity, care, and the quiet possibility of transformation without waste.

Mother-of-Pearl Reliefs with 24K Gold
